This log home was custom built with all the furnishings and decor of an upscale lodge. You may have see pictures in Cabin Life magazine, where it has been featured several times. There are four official bedrooms with two extra rooms in the basement with beds. There are also 4 full baths and 1 half bath. Large decks on the front and back of house with bench swings. Kids and adults can walk down to the lake behind the house to swim, fish and more. This house is one of the closest homes to the lake available (about 350 steps) and we are located in a wake-free zone, meaning boats need to drive very slowly behind the house. There is a large fire pit for bonfires and s'mores. The back yard is flat for bocci, volleyball or other activities. My son used to have paint ball fights with friends in the woods directly behind the house. The dining room table seats eight comfortably. There are 3 bar stools to the kitchen counter for additional seating. One of the many great features of this house is each of the three floors has separate entertaining space so people can get together in smaller groups if desired. The lower level has a family room and air hockey table and direct access to the back yard. The loft on the second floor is great for games - bumper pool, playing cards, board games or puzzles. There's something for everyone! There are 4 tvs (great room, basement family room and in two of the bedrooms) should you want them. Besides being close to the water, you are also close (10 minutes) from downtown Huntingdon - groceries, beer/wine/liquor, restaurants, gym ($5 for the day) and a Super Walmart. We are about 12 minutes from Seven Points Marina if you want to rent a boat/kayake/paddle board or use their water trampoline. We are also roughly 45 minutes from Penn State for football games and other activities as well. And if you are an adventurer, some of the best bike trails are about 10 minutes away. There are also excellent hiking trails for every skill level. I go down to Juniata College in town and play tennis and my kids have roller bladed around campus. There is definitely plenty to do! Please note property has exterior security cameras with video and sound recording.

Walk the path* to the lake with kayaks or paddle boards, your fishing poles, or just a beach towel and a good book. Bask in the peace and quiet of an evening spent on the deck overlooking the woods. Have fun exploring the woods and building forts, then enjoy roasting marshmallows at the fire pit. Drive ten minutes to the Allegrippas trail head to mountain bike or to Seven Points Marina to boat or go to the beach. It’s also only ten minutes to downtown Huntingdon and ten minutes to Snyder’s Run public boat launch. This family friendly cottage features an open floor plan kitchen, dining and living room. The kitchen is well appointed for those who like to cook, with bar seating for 2 and a table that expands to seat 8. There is a desk in the living room in case you need to work remotely and wifi to keep you connected. It sleeps 8, with 3 small but charming bedrooms, 2 with queen beds and one with twin bunk beds, and a queen pull out couch in the living room. There is a washer/dryer for your convenience. Laundry detergent is provided. When you need a break from swimming, fishing, and exploring, there are plenty of books, puzzles, and board games for all ages, as well as a smart TV, DVD player, and DVDs for all ages. *Please note the path comes off the end of the road, where there is a cul-de-sac for parking. The path is maintained by the Army Corps of Engineers. Due to the way Raystown Lake was created, the path to the lake is downhill, which means of course that the way back is uphill, and it is relatively steep at parts. This can be difficult for some people. Sheets are NOT provided. A kitchen towel and dish cloth are provided, but other towels are NOT. We do provide mattress pads, pillows, quilts. We do provide starter paper towels and starter toilet paper, as well as trash bags, basic soaps (dish/hand) and laundry detergent.

Our Red Roof log cabin is in a secluded wooded area at Raystown Lake. The lake is within walking distance or a short drive down Parks Road. There are many trails on the property that are nice to hike or to see the deer and other wildlife in the woods. There is also plenty of room for your boat, and boat access is located within 4 miles from Snyder Run Access Area or 7.5 miles from Seven Points Marina. The cabin has most of the comforts of home, including TV, air conditioning, refrigerator, stove, microwave, and a gas fireplace. The cabin boasts an open floor plan consisting of a living room, kitchen, dining area and powder room on the upper level. The lower level has two bedrooms. The first has a queen bed and a set of twin bunk beds; the second has a queen bed. A full bathroom with a shower is in a location convenient to both bedrooms. The front porch has comfortable furniture so you can watch the kids roast their marshmallows in the fire pit or just relax with a cool drink. There is a deck off of the living room for you to enjoy a meal or relax and watch the wildlife roam through the woods.

The house has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths with additional sleeping area in the family room with a twin and queen bed, the house sleeps 9 comfortable. Please supply your own pack n play if applicable. The house has an open feel to it with high peaked ceilings in the kitchen and living room areas with recessed lightening and ceiling fan/light. The sun rising in the east shines into the living and kitchen areas allowing natural light into the rooms. The bonus arch window above the fireplace adds daylight and also moon light at night. On a night when the sky is clear and the moon is full, the light illuminates into the kitchen & living rooms and back the hallway. The kitchen has new granite countertop, sink and faucet, a dishwasher, microwave, oven range, service for 12. Plenty of pots and pans & breakfast skillets. The main floor has Hickory hardwood flooring throughout. We have enjoyed decorating with a bear theme & furnished with beautiful Amish Hickory & Oak furniture. For the children of any age we have plenty of children's books, games & cards & toys and a child's table with two chairs. The living room closet has cards & games for all ages plus a folding table and 4 folding chairs. There are place mats and table cloths for the patio & back yard picnic table. The screened in porch has seating for 8 with a patio table & chairs. There is a propane grill just 3 steps off the back porch. Split fire wood is available while supply lasts. In the family room we have a bar area a pool table that can convert to a ping pong table or texas holdem card game. The family room has a HD 55" TV with DVD and Internet access. Relax on the sofa which recline and on the love seat that also reclines or on two gliders. The family room has a full bathroom with shower stall & linen closet. The high ceilings in the lower level give the feeling of an open spacious room. The focal point of the family room is of a hand painted mural with a wooded scene with waterfall bear and deer. The artist is a local artist who has painted many sides of buildings in downtown Huntingdon. He also helps with the McConnellstown Playhouse designing stage sets. The pool table can also be used as a ping pong table. The lot is surrounded by mature trees and shrubs to add privacy for any time of the year. In mid to late April there are over a dozen Forsythia Bushes in bloom, in May the flowering Cherry & Lilac bushes are in bloom. In summer we have 4 rose bushes in the back yard along the screened in porch. Enjoy the outdoors in our screened in porch built by the Amish. New composite 6' table and matching chairs. The porch is a great area to enjoy the sounds of nature in the early mornings & evenings, or relax with a good book anytime of the day. Enjoy the back yard with woods and shrubs and nature. Spot a deer or two now and then. Enjoy relaxing meals on the screened in porch any time of the day. Use the folding table for extra table space or as a buffet table. The screened in porch is a favorite area for many. We invite you to stay and enjoy a slice of heaven! On a clear night the stars are so bright it seems as if you can reach out and touch them. ** The end of Parks Road is 2/10th mile away. There is a turn around where you can park and hike down to the lake or walk down from the house. The hiking path is about 300' long. ( the length of a football field). The path is maintained by the Core of Engineers and opens up to a beautiful no wake section of Raystown Lake, very quiet & peaceful. Some people take floats, fishing gear or intertubes to swim or sit and admire the view!! Raystown Lake was built with Ridges & woods on all sides and can be a challenge to some people since it IS an up hill on the way back up the path to your parked car. When our mountain well water has not been used over a few weeks spring or fall there could be an Initial Natural Sulphur odor which is common in this region. If this should occur simply run the water for awhile and the smell will disapate. It is safe and it's treated. Our driveway can hold up to 3-4 vehicles. We ask that vehicles be kept off the yard. A boat parking pad was newly installed for up to a 22' trailer. You can use the turn around at the bottom of Parks Road than drive back up than back the boat into the driveway & onto the boat parking pad. Unhitch your vehicle and go from there . In late fall and winter, we advise 4 wheel or all wheel drive vehicles. The township snow plows are good at spreading salt and plowing Piney Ridge and Parks Road depending how deep the snow is, it may take longer than at other times. Firepit area is adjacent to the deck. A spacious master suite (queen size bed) is located on the 2nd floor and includes a large full bathroom. Also, on this level is a loft area with a pullout double bed and TV viewing area. There is a lower level rec room with a sectional couch and TV that features a woodburning stove and a deck. The third bedroom is off the rec room and has a bunk bed with a twin over a double with connecting half bath. Wi-Fi is available. The house is approximately 20 miles from Huntingdon, Juniata College and Lincoln Caverns. Blue Knob and Tussey Mountain Ski Resorts are within an hour. Penn State University is also located within an hour of this house. 4WD/AWD is needed for any booking made during winter months. The house sits on top of a mountain and this road may be snow covered at times.

The views from the bedrooms are amazing! ABOUT RAYSTOWN LAKE: Raystown Lake is surrounded by Federal Game Land. This means no homes on Raystown Lake have private access to the water. While you may walk out our back yard and through the trees to get to the water and a flat area to hang out, the mountain is steep! You must be prepared to hike down....and get back up! We recommend that unless you are up for hiking, you simply walk, bike, or drive down our road and over to the Shy Beaver Boat Launch about 300 yards from the end of our road! You will not find a nicer property with our stunning views AND quick access to the lake, marina, beach, restaurant and waterpark! RULES/RESTRICTIONS: We will accept up to 26 guests. Renters must be at least 24 years old, with no rentals for high-school or college parties without older adult (age 24+) supervision, renters insurance, and a commitment not to use the home for alcohol fueled partying! No pets, with the exception of Service Animals. No smoking inside the house. Noise must be controlled after 10pm per ordinance. Our property is equipped with outdoor security cameras, and we will enforce these policies. Renters who choose to throw large fraternity style, alcohol fueled parties, will be held responsible for all damages, may have the police called, and may be have access to the property removed, forfeiting all monies paid. This policy ensures that we can offer a safe and secure guest experience, maintain our property in top shape for guests, and maintain respect for the neighbors. Check-in procedures will be sent prior to arrival. We use the Ring Doorbell system to be notified of guest arrival and will generate a unique front door lock access codes to be provided to each guest upon arrival after presenting ID through the Ring camera system. You will have our contact information, and we can be reached any time prior and during your arrival to ensure a wonderful stay at our home! Finally, we will clean the property after your stay, but we do require guests to leave the rooms and floors free of debris, trash, wet towels, dishes, etc. Sheets and towels will need to be placed in the laundry area and dishes rinsed and placed in the dishwasher. This allows us to charge a smaller cleaning fee for everyone. We reserve the right to charge excessive cleaning fees if guests leave the home excessively dirty. Located on a ridge top with easy access to surrounding activities and only 4.5 miles from Huntingdon with grocery store, restaurants, gas station, etc. You can walk to Raystown lake from house in about 10 minutes. Sleeps 12 guests, rates are up to 8 guests, there is an extra guest charge for guests 9-12 and is calculated once you select dates. Great room has a masonry fireplace shown in pictures, we do not allow guests to use fireplace without special permission, please let us know if you have questions.

Marina View Lodge is a large spacious home overlooking the Resort at Lake Raystown. From the moment you pull up the driveway the scenery will captivate you. Marina View Lodge offers the most breath taking view of Lake Raystown sitting high upon the mountain just minutes from Shy Beaver boat launch. When you walk through the front door you will find yourself in a large open foyer. This floor is an open floor plan consisting of a very large eat in kitchen with a custom made dining room table, living room with a wet bar and a 25 foot stone fireplace, guest bedroom , laundry room , half bath and master suite with a whirlpool tub. The main floor also has 2 decks, one off each side of the home. Make your way up the log stair case to the top floor where you will find a full bath and 2 large guest bedrooms with amazing lake views. On the ground level you will enjoy playing a game of pool, sitting at the custom made bar, or relaxing and just watching a movie on a 70" flat screen tv. There is also full bath on this level and a bedroom with 2 custom made twin over full sized bunk beds made out of over 100 year old barn wood. This bedroom also has a couch ,loveseat , foosball table and flat screen tv. This house was kept true to the "lake cabin" feel with custom made Amish furniture through out . Each room has a more captivating view of the lake than the last. When you are outside you can relax on the hammock, sit back on the swing, enjoy the beautiful fire pit area, sit around the fire table on the deck off of the kitchen, cook gourmet meals on the 36" Blackstone, play corn hole and take in all the magnificent views of your surroundings including the 3 Bald Eagles that frequent the property.

Our Green Roof Log Cabin is located in a secluded wooded area at Raystown Lake. It is walking distance to the lake through a trail in the woods or a short drive down Parks Road. We have many other trails on our property that are nice to hike on to watch the deer and other wildlife running through the woods. There is a front covered porch for relaxing and enjoying the view of the fire ring and picnic area. We also have plenty of room to park your boat to take down to Raystown Lake which is only 5 miles from the cabin. Our cabin has a fireplace so you can have a romantic evening with that special someone or just sit by the fire with your family in our cozy cabin. The cabin has most of the comforts of home, TV With Cable, Gas Fireplace, Air-Conditioning, Ceiling Fans, Stove, Refrigerator, M/V, Toaster and many other amenities. This warm and inviting chalet is nestled in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains and offers spacious living in a picturesque and tranquil setting. It is only 1.2 miles to Shy Beaver Boat Launch. The water is great for swimming, water skiing, boating, and fishing. Bear's Retreat is tucked in a secluded neighborhood, Shy Beaver Lakeview Estates. Boat parking is available offsite, at a minimal fee. The entrance to this beautiful cabin is located on the main floor. You enter into the kitchen that is fully equipped for your culinary enjoyment. Off the kitchen is the deck overlooking beautiful mountains where you can dine at the picnic table or relax in the hot tub. The open floor plan leads from the kitchen to a dining area that opens to the great room with a flat-screen TV, stone fireplace, and majestic cathedral ceiling. The main floor has 2 bedrooms. The first master bedroom has a queen bed with a private bath. The second bedroom has a pyramid bed (full bed on the bottom and twin on the top). A half bath is located outside the second bedroom. The laundry is conveniently located on the main floor. The lower level has a fully furnished family room with sofas, flat-screen TV, pool table, and bar area. A separate area has a third bedroom with two twin beds and a full bath. The walkout basement leads to a gas grill and a yard area. A game of badminton or volleyball can be played outside and marshmallows can be roasted at the fire pit. The upstairs has a master bedroom with a king bed and a private bathroom. The loft area has a pull-out (queen) sleep sofa, and fully equipped gaming table for a late night game of poker. Our location abounds with fun activities and entertainment opportunities! We are a 5 minute drive to the local ice-cream shop, Eats N Treats, with the best ice cream on the lake. Seven Points Marina and recreation area is about a 20 minute drive. It includes a beach area for swimming, picnicking, fishing, hiking, and an array of water sport activities. The facility includes a floating trampoline and snack shop. If you didn't bring your own boat you can rent one there. Shopping, restaurants, and the cinema are all conveniently located in Huntingdon, about a 20-25 minute drive. Our Central Pennsylvania location is convenient to Penn State University, Juniata College, Lincoln Caverns, Rails to Trails of Central PA, Swigart Car Museum, DelGross’s Amusement Park, Skiing at Blue Knob and much more!

The rustic early 1800s American chestnut log cabin is located at the entrance to Snyder’s Run Boat Launch, so convenient to the water; our driveway entrance is in the boat launch parking area. Please note, Corp of Engineers owns all ground to the lake, we do not own the property to the lake. The path to the lake is a well used path from continued use. We purchased this 120 acres in the early 1990's knowing what this lake offered to us and the general public, and we still own all 120 acres of lake view property today. This cabin was slated to be moved during the flooding in the late 1960's but was saved, and the character of this place remains the same today, unique with charm. What we want to offer guest is an original cottage/cabin from the old dam and that is what we do. History is important to us, and this cabin remains one of the most unique left standing on Raystown Lake today. What we offer at our cabin, is our rustic view of what a visit to Raystown should be. Enjoy the peaceful 2 minute walk to the water, leading to a peaceful inlet so convenient to swimming and fishing, or just floating around on a raft. Launch your boat at the launch down the hill, with no worry of finding a parking space, just park at the cabin, and walk to your boat. No boat, no problem, just walk down the hill to enjoy the lake. We also offer long term parking/storage for boats inside and outside parking seasonal, both summer & winter. Please note: No boat, jet ski, or kayak should be left unattended in cove below cabin. We border The Army Corp of Engineers Federal ground, and we strictly enforce all Corp of Engineers rules. You will enjoy the 1/2 mile dirt driveway to the cabin, with easy access for the guest to enjoy the peaceful drive following the inlet of Snyder’s Run Boat Launch. Directions: GPS to Snyder Run Boat Launch - boat launch is at the very end of Snyders Run Road. Enter into Snyder's Run Boat Launch parking area. Make right onto Valentine Lane (the driveway is in the parking lot of the boat launch) continue on Valentine Lane till you see fork in road. Continue straight, sign will say Lake View Trails. At next fork in the road continue left, and cabin is directly in front of you. Driveway is well marked.

This home is strategically placed high up on the mountain overlooking Lake Raystown Resort just around the corner of Shy Beaver Boat Launch/Inlet. It includes 67 acres to enjoy with a 2 acre lawn for family games/activities, many of of which are provided. Whether enjoying the fire pit or hot tub overlooking the lake, or custom horseshoe pits, or just simply bird/game watching, our property will provide plenty of opportunities for recreation. Nearly every room of the lodge, as well as the firepit, swing, and hot tub areas provide an incredible view of the lake. Included also is a massive deck facing the lake as well as a lower patio, both complete with outdoor seating. The property boasts one of the few usable lawns at nearly 2 acres level ground that would be perfect for medium-sized events. From the property there is direct access to walking/running/mountain biking/hiking trails without leaving the grounds. The main floor includes the Master (King)Bedroom/Bath, Large living room with gas fireplace, Den, powder room, kitchen, dining room, and laundry. The upper floor contains two large bedrooms (each queen bed) with adjoining full bathrooms, pool table/game room. The lower level provides 3 bedrooms total; a kids bedroom (1 full, 3 twin), a second bedroom (queen bed), and a third bedroom (two full size beds), a full bathroom, and large living room. There is also a two car garage that can be used in the case of rain for dining and play. It is complete with gas grill, additional small kitchen appliances, fire pit cooking rack, 2 yard canopies, and an extra refrigerator. Some may be delighted to find that there is also an old fashioned ice cream maker, mountian pie irons and marshmallow/hot dog roasting sticks available to add to your activity list.. Guests may also find it convenient that there is ample cell signal at the lodge for most cellular providers. We also have wireless internet (10mbps). We have 4 flat screen TVs located in the den, master bedroom, downstairs family room and 1 guest bedroom complete with DISH network. We provide a large number of tables and chairs, bedding, towels, paper products, and most kitchen items. We will provide an inventory list via email so guests do not overpack. Our lane is conveniently located about a 1/4 mile from the nearest boat launch. Arrangements for boat storage can be made if bringing a boat. The storage area only 1/2 mile from the launch. Boats, paddle boards, and kayak rentals are available at Lake Raystown Resort just a few minutes away. Our lodge is perfectly set up for medium size family/friend gatherings, reunions, showers, celebrations, and work retreats.. We are more than happy to help with the planning of these events such as finding caterers, restaurants, suggestions for party rental stores, etc. Our past guests will tell you that the view of the Lake with 40 miles of expanse, cannot be justified with photos. We are set apart from ALL other Raystown Lake rentals because of our unique view (trees have been cleared 50 yards on the hill facing the Lake enhancing the view), punctual customer service (local), and very complete kitchen amenities, an assortment of yard games, 67 acres of private trails, provided firewood, paper products, cleaning supplies, and detergents. Guests literally need only to bring clothing and food to have a great time! We hold cleanliness in high regard and do our best to make sure everything is maintained and in proper working condition (if for some reason it is not, we can be contacted immediately and we will see that the problem is resolved). Special accommodations, kitchen items, child needs, and furniture can be arranged by letting the owners know. Renter must be 24 years old to book. The facility includes a floating trampoline and snack shop at the beach. Raystown Resort is located about 10 minutes from the home and includes dining, miniature golf, and a water park. Boat rentals are available at both locations. Shopping, restaurants, and the cinema are all conveniently located in Huntingdon, about a 30 minute drive. This is a three bedroom cottage with lots of room for boat parking and lots of room for the kids to play. The cottage features 2 television sets, a blue ray player, and several table games. Three bedrooms with the master bedroom having a queen bed. Second bedroom includes a queen bed. The third bedroom includes one set of bunk beds and one double bed. There is also a queen pullout couch in the living room. The cottage has two bathrooms and sleeping for eight. The dining room table has seating for eight. Outside features a fire pit and a screened gazebo. Three picnic tables are covered by a large canopy. Two outside games complete the outside amenities. The short walk to the water is on a level road with easy access at the end Henderson Overlook road. The cove is perfect for kayaking, swimming, or fishing. We are within three miles to both the Ridenour Lookout and Hawn's Overlook. There is plenty of wildlife to observe on this quiet road near the water.

Spacious Newly Renovated Home with large yard and mountain stream, bordering 6000+acres of forest with abundant wildlife, 6 min. FROM RAYSTOWN LAKE! Wild and wonderful - this is where the world stops! Relax on the back deck, as you listen to the fresh mountain stream tumbling over smooth stones making its way across the far edge of the open backyard. Enjoy the rejuvenating sights and sounds of nature from the lower patio swing. On a warm summer day, meditate in the secluded hammock by the stream flanked by rhododendrons and mossy boulders. In cool weather, feel the warmth of the crackling fire you build in the primitive stone campfire ring in the woods just across the creek. Beyond our property lies a huge expanse of forest including both private land as well as more than 6,000 acres of State game lands. We haven’t explored that area much, but we know that it contains plentiful wildlife. From our deck we have watched deer grazing on our willow tree, an occasional black bear lumbering across our backyard, wild turkeys, foxes, raccoons, a bald eagle soaring overhead, and many other species of birds. In the winter we enjoy seeing the animal tracks in the snow. There is a hunting cabin to the north side of the house about 200 feet away, and a few houses at the foot of the mountain across the road. The neighboring residents are quiet people who also enjoy the wildlife. We have been renovating this house as a place to vacation together with all of our children and grandchildren, and we are happy to be ready to share it with you. It has 5 bedrooms with bed space for 19, and a convertible room which can serve either as a pool table room or a 6th bedroom, which would increase bed space for up to 21 people. Please let us know which you prefer. There are 4 full baths, one of which has a whirlpool tub. You may notice signs that indicate that this house is still a work in progress, but we're confident you'll find it to be quite comfortable and enjoy your stay. The house has an open floor plan with a spacious living room, dining area, and kitchen. The living room has a beautiful remote control gas fireplace, 3 sofas, 3 chairs, a game cupboard, a piano, a TV, and DVD player. We do not subscribe to any tv service, but it has a ROKU with some free channels, or you can connect it to your own laptop computer to access the internet. The house has free wifi. The extendable dining room table seats 6 to 12, and the kitchen island 4 adults or 6 children. The kitchen has a large refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher. It has a toaster, blender, small handheld mixer, and electric can opener. There is a Keurig with some complimentary K-cups and some individual creamers of various flavors. There is also a coffee maker and ground coffee. You’ll find a set of various size pots and pans, crockpots, glass baking pans, casserole dishes, cookie sheets, some soup bowls, plenty of dinner plates, mugs, glasses, plastic cups, flatware, and basic kitchen utensils. Dish detergent and dishwasher soap are supplied, as are dishcloths and dish towels. Disposable kitchen paper products are not provided. Food is not supplied, although there are some limited cooking essentials such as a few spices, salt, pepper, flour, sugar, oil, baking soda/powder, etc. that you are welcome to use in small amounts. There is a gas grill for your use out on the covered deck/porch. We now have possible bed space for 21 people, with the optional 6th bedroom in the basement. This convertible room can alternatively be set up as an extra common area with a pool table, in which case there would be only 5 bedrooms and bed space for 19 people. Each of the 6 bedrooms has one queen-size bed. Three of them have additional single beds. One of these has a set of bunk beds. Another has one set of bunk beds and one single bed with sides. The third has four single beds. We also supply a pack ‘n play upon request. You'll find beds made with fresh linens, and extra blankets are also provided! Each bed space has one pillow but there are also a few spares. The pillows vary from memory foam to down alternative, and from fluffy to flat to allow guests to choose their preference. Mattresses are supportive but vary in level of firmness/softness. Each bathroom has a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap, as well as an initial couple of rolls of toilet tissue. One large bath towel and one washcloth is provided per guest. Beach towels are not provided. There is a washer and a dryer in the basement, which you are free to use. There is also some laundry detergent for your use if needed. Only half of the basement is finished. This consists of the laundry area, and a pool table room (or possible 6th bedroom) with an adjoining 4th bathroom. The other half, our future recreation room, remains unfinished and still looks more like a dungeon, but we do use it, and you may too, if you wish. It has a game table which can transform from foosball to air hockey and more. It also has a projector for multimedia viewing on a 7ft. x 11ft. screen (a sheet for now). Again, you’ll need a laptop to watch movies with this. Our gaming chairs with adjustable recline can transform this dungeon into a theater. Volleyball/ badminton, whiffle ball, ladder golf, and corn hole are available for you to set up in the backyard. If you need to replenish any of your supplies, Saxton Market is 5 minutes away. This beautiful, quiet property is adjacent to the Raystown Lake Federal Lands* and in between the Marina and Resort areas. We constantly try to improve the property, and in 2018 we extended the all-seasons room to the deck, making a large outdoor deck area! We added a gas grill, a fire pit, and a new, larger hot tub! Stroll down a private (no homes front the land), quiet country lane to a quiet entrance to the lake. You can hear the birds singing and the fish leaping out of the water! This is a great place for kayaking, fishing or playing in the water. (We can rent up to 4 kayaks upon request. This is in cooperation with another owner, so we must charge an additional fee.) The lakeside is also a perfect place for a private picnic or to gaze at the midnight moon! We also offer other amenities that you can add to your stay such as kayak rentals, life vests, grocery stocking, and catering service (you must supply the requested menu for a quote). Just one mile down the road is the Aitch boat launch and fishing pier. A wonderful view of the tree-covered mountains surrounds you. Public guided boat tours are available at the Marina and Resort areas. You will truly enjoy the three HD TVs, the NEW, regulation-sized (7') AMF pool table, and the 6-person hot tub. The master bedroom on the main floor has a queen bed and a large master bath w/ oversized Jacuzzi (non-jetted) tub, separate shower, walk-in closet, and Kohler fixtures. This master bedroom has a sliding glass door onto the deck w/ beautiful view of the federal lands and a pond where you can frequently find a blue heron looking for fish. (We do not have a direct view of the lake, very few lakeside properties do, which keeps the lake experience from the water pristine - no private docks or lands.) The main floor has a dining room & living room w/ gas fireplace. The modern kitchen has every convenience you need including an island w/ a Jenn-Air grill & gas range unit, a side by side refrigerator, built-in microwave, built-in oven, dishwasher, & garbage disposal. We also supply a drip coffee maker, rice cooker, crock-pot, and other kitchen gadgets. The laundry room & a separate half bath are also on the main floor. The second-floor loft contains two queen size beds and overlooks the kitchen, pool room and you the deck. There is a separate floor AC unit, ceiling fan, and floor fan in the loft to keep the air circulating. It has a large, full-size bathroom with a large shower. There is a screened-in 3 seasons room w/ glass sliding-door entrances from the kitchen, the pool room, and the master bedroom. The three seasons room was improved in 2018 to connect this room to the small existing deck off of the master bedroom. It is now partially screened, and partially open. The new open area now permits both a gas grill and a fire pit! It is absolutely lovely out there, and you have a lovely view of the pond, which frequently boasts of bird activity, the yard, and the federal game lands. You will hear the birds singing all day, and you will frequently be able to watch the barn swallows careen just above the grass while they feed. This home has a heat pump, central air, ceiling fans, skylights & nice attached 26’ x 26' garage. Please note that the pipeline that was installed recently that runs under the lake also went through our property and severely damaged our landscaping, and the emerald ash borer damaged our trees. There is a sitting bench that boasts some of the best views around. It is the perfect place to drink your morning coffee, or watch the sunset as you view the the town of McConnellsburg and farms below. Our home sleeps six plus, and has all of the amenities. Our eat in kitchen is of adequate size and includes all utensils, cookware, and appliances (fridge, microwave, dishwasher, range/oven, coffeemaker, and other small appliances). Our living room includes a sofa, loveseat, and two reclining chairs. A flat screen TV is provided as well as cable and a DVD player. The home is also equipped with wi-fi. There are three bedrooms. Although a little on the small side, they are clean and functional. Bedroom one includes a queen bed, dresser, closet, and vanity. Bedroom two has a full bed, dresser, closet and the 1\2 bath is located off of this bedroom. Bedroom three has a set of bunk beds, dresser, closet, and small TV with DVD player. The full bath with tub/shower is located downstairs. Please note that this is the only bathroom with bathing facilities if using stairs poses an issue to you or your guests . The basement also includes a room with another set of bunks, pull out sofa, flat screen with hdmi input (great spot for kids bringing their gaming systems). This area provides some flexibility and extra space but is not a completely finished room. A second room is in the basement that includes a dog crate, wood stove, table and chairs, and walkout exit to the rear yard. This room is also unfinished. The home includes central air and a forced air oil furnace. Our home is perfect for your weekend getaway or week long vacation. A clean, cozy, and functional home that includes everything that you need. The home is the perfect balance between being close enough to the stores and restaurants of Huntington, yet far enough away to be peaceful and private. We our only a short drive to the seven points boat launch and recreation area. Geographically we are even closer than that as a walk down the trail at the end of Parks road will put you right at the waters edge. Trough Creek Laurel Lodge is a beautiful five bedroom and three bath mountain home built on 2.25 acres and available for your family vacation, family reunion, or small church retreat. The lodge was designed and built by Judd and Susan Buckwalter and their children in 2011. It was important to them that the design of the lodge would provide a classic rustic experience where multiple families could vacation together, making new memories and strengthening relationships. Planning your vacation is effortless as the lodge is located only several minutes from Tatman Run boat launch and swim area on Raystown Lake, and Trough Creek State Park. The lodge is a traditional stick built home with cypress wood siding on the outside and knotty pine tongue and groove boards on the interior walls. The ceiling height is 25' to the exposed hemlock ridgepole and rafters creating an extraordinary open lodge feeling. The main living area boasts an 8' foot wide stone fireplace, dining table and living room seating for twelve, and fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. The lodge will sleep up to twenty people. There are five bedrooms consisting of eight full size beds and six single size bunks. For your entertainment we have provided a brand new oak pool table by Heirloom Billards in Strasburg, Pa, foosball table, ping pong table, high style hickory card table, and 46' flat screen television with DVD player and a variety of DVD's (no cable). For your convenience a washer and dryer are provided. Raystown lake is an 8,000 acre lake.
